Ocean Restaurant Achieves Triple Suns Recognition
Ocean, the culinary crown jewel of Vila Vita Parc, was distinguished with what few restaurants ever dream of—three "Soles" or Suns from the prestigious Repsol Guide, adding to its two Michelin stars.
Since 2007, Executive Chef Hans Neuner has transformed Ocean into a canvas where Portuguese culinary heritage meets global inspiration. His team crafts conceptual menus exploring Portugal's rich historical connections with regions across Asia, Africa, and America.
"Being awarded three Suns is an incredible honour, especially from a guide that truly understands Portuguese culinary culture," Neuner shared. "I'm proud to share this with our entire team, our producers, and our guests."
Ocean's current "Tastes of Discovery" menu represents five years of research and global inspiration. Standout dishes include codfish with Alentejo citrus, Berlengas skatefish honouring Portugal's maritime traditions, and a reimagined Azores pineapple dessert.
As the sun sets over the Atlantic, the three Repsol Suns shine as symbols of Neuner and his team's remarkable journey—illuminating an exceptional culinary evolution that continues to unfold with each passing season.
