Chefs Jorge Vallejo and Hans Neuner cooked together for "The Quintonil Quest II"
On Friday, June 23rd 2023, Ocean Restaurant was made the stage to welcome a dinner filled with culinary inventiveness, in which the Portuguese culmination of The Quintonil Quest II - a second edition of the world-famous Mexican restaurant’s culinary endeavour through several destinations in Europe -, was marked.
The collaboration between Jorge Vallejo and Hans Neuner resulted in a mind-boggling fusion of flavours and aromas, offering a truly one-of-a-kind gastronomic experience for those who had the chance to partake in such a special moment.
The stage was set for a tasting menu that displayed the best of Mexico from Jorge’s hands and the modern and refined interpretations of Portuguese and Brazilian flavours that compose Ocean’s current menu.
The two renown chefs indulged patrons, journalists, influencers, and global diners with a joint 14-course menu, that also received the admiration of travelling chef guests such as Mohamad Orfali, of MENA’s 50 Best No. 1 Orfali Bros in Dubai, The World’s 50 Best Pastry Chef 2022 René Frank, of two Michelin-starred CODA in Berlin, as well as highly praised chef and hunter Vaughan Mabee, from Amisfield from as long afar as Queenstown in New Zealand.
